Riviera’s latest designs on show in the city of sails
Riviera is expected to impress the New Zealand market with its latest innovative designs which will be on display at the Auckland International Boat Show to be held from March 11-14.
About 20,000 boating enthusiasts will convene at Auckland's Viaduct Harbour, home to the 2000 and 2003 America's Cup, where they will see first-hand what Australia's most awarded pleasure boat builder, Riviera has to offer the discerning boating enthusiast.
Models from each of Riviera's model series will be on display including the latest model releases from the flybridge and sport yacht ranges.
In the flybridge range Riviera's exciting new flagship model, the 70, is the largest, most luxurious and technically advanced Riviera ever built featuring luxury accommodation with four staterooms and four bathrooms.
From the gourmet galley to the moulded internal staircase; the 70 has left no stone unturned with a luxurious lounge on a mezzanine level as well as sublime views from the penthouse style flybridge and a pair of 1,572hp (1,156kW) Caterpillar C32 turbo diesels. Also from the flybridge range, the 51, 47, and 45 will be on display.
In the Sport Yacht range, the new 5800 with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion features three IPS 600 diesels rated at 435hp each are standard, offering up to 30 per cent better fuel consumption and joystick for easy docking in close quarters as well as all the luxuries expected from a Riviera.
Including an expansive cockpit with large dining table and a garage that can accommodate a 3.2m tender. The main saloon features a large U-shape galley aft and a large dinette forward. The forward section of the galley doubles as a breakfast servery with two stools forward.
The 5800 Sport Yacht offers a three or four cabin option including full beam master stateroom with midships king size double bed, the option of a galley in the saloon or below decks, an expansive cockpit with large dining table and a garage that can accommodate a 3.2-metre tender.
With two of these luxurious Sport Yachts delivered to New Zealand, they are tipped to be a favourite at the Auckland International Boat Show. The 4400 Sport Yacht will also be on show as well as the 43 and 48 Offshore Express models.
R Marine New Zealand dealer principal Bruce McGill said the Auckland International Boat Show would provide a great opportunity for Riviera to introduce its latest designs to the New Zealand market.
"Riviera has participated in the Auckland International Boat Show for a number of years and we look forward to showcasing our impressive range at the 2010 show," said Mr McGill.
"2010 is tipped to be a strong year for boat sales and Riviera is powering forward with innovative designs and will ramp up production in 2010 with the implementation of a continuous flow line to meet rising demand.
"Riviera continues to show its strength at the world's premier boat shows including Fort Lauderdale and Miami in the US, Auckland in New Zealand, Sanctuary Cove and Sydney in Australia."
