ABU DHABI, NOVEMBER 2009: The Middle East's largest luxury boat distributor, ART Marine, offered its VIP guests pole position on board the luxurious Riviera 48 Offshore Express at this year's Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
In its first year at Abu Dhabi, the event attracted thousands of motoring enthusiasts from across the globe as it wrapped up this year's racing season in November.
ART Marine Marketing Director Wael Bittar said the 48 Offshore Express was used as a hospitality yacht and was offered exclusively to ART Marine guests and media during the event.
"Demand for chartered yachts during the race week is high. Seeing the race and attending he events from a private yacht is a unique and exciting experience, we are pleased to be able to offer this to our valued clients," he said.
"It is the first Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi and it is the season finale, attracting people from all over the world including celebrities."
ART Marine CEO Constantinos Constantinou said ART Marine had the largest number of yachts in YAS Marina during the event.
"The Grand Prix was a great opportunity for the Marine industry and it attracted international and local guests that are yachting and sports enthusiasts," he said.
"It was a hugely successful event with many of our clients and guests enjoying the race weekend in style and comfort on board the popular Riviera 48 Offshore Express - many had such a great time they have already booked their space for next year."
The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was held from October 30 to November 1 at Yas Island, just off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
